Love?

Why do people get to feel happy, if it’s all going to go away one day and be replaced with a horrible empty sadness? Why do people meet other people who totally know them, will stick with them and Love them- ONLY to lose them at some point? Why do we even bother with love? Why do we even bother with making friends? I know it makes the journey worthwhile, and I know it’s foolish to think that we can make it on our own, all alone. Because we can’t do that, we need other people . No matter how independent a person we are. [We know this to be true because : as kids, I'm sure, we all either had to go without any real, faithful friends for a while- or at least had this period of separation from them-that made us feel bad. Just plain bad.] But, no matter how many people we do end up having in our lives…it doesn’t matter if we don’t even Love ourselves. and even if we don't learn this ourselves, God has a Way of putting people in our lives to teach us these things, and hopeful

From love story, our song, you belong with me and fearless - Taylor Swift always had a special part in my heart. But over the years things have changed. I spent years listening to different music and in the recent years it feels like she has gained a lot more popularity again (or is it that I'm noticing her more these days). Music has always been a huge part of my life, but I never stopped to think too much about the lyrics from my favorite artists. Not to mention, how talented & attractive this woman was- she had a charming, honest quality about her, and she worked super hard for her success. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this podcast by Allie Beth Stuckey with the episode titled "Taylor, you need to calm down" that I started to think about the artists I support and the messages they stand for. Life After Facebook.

I’m about to let you in on something crazy. I don’t have a Facebook account anymore. Original Unedited Image from Google. Okay it's not that crazy. But for me , it was. I believe I got to create the Facebook account in 2007, and I maintained it until march this year. Life after Facebook, has been quite GOOD so far, actually. I don't have an urge to check my account everyday (mostly because I don't have one - haha) I've been able to blog more, which I somehow never had the "time" to do before - mostly because I'd rather have spent it on Facebook. I've been discovering myself , getting all quiet and realized that I need to look inside of me, first, before I can go out and make the world a better place and all of that.
