25 things to do when you're bored.

So growing up I remember searching online a number of times for "Fun things to do when you're bored" or "Fun things to do this summer" and it was always interesting to see what others had come up with and to try and implement a few of those things.

An avid list - maker myself, I thought 'Hey, why not try to come up with my own little list to share with the internet?' SO : so this is my list of top 25 fun things to do at home by yourself or with a friend or a group of friends.


1.  Go for a walk ( outside of your home in a nice park or quiet road preferably)
2.  Draw or sketch (with pencil/charcoal even)
3.  Try picking up calligraphy
4.  Try acrylic painting on a canvas.
5.  Get your sketches or colors out and a coloring book and color something pretty or print out a really cute pattern / design and color that in and put it up somewhere
6. Record a song (Bonus points if you wrote it yourself!) -because - hey, why not? either alone or sing a duet with a friend
7. Learn to sew something - whether it's to patch something that ripped or something as fancy as a new embroidery based on your own personal skill level.
8. Write a story
9. Try paper quilling art - make a book mark or a greeting card for someone's birthday or to say thank you
10. Try making paper mache sculptures.
11. READ. (like really good books.)
12.  Cook something out of the ordinary ( if you are an adult or have adult supervision - if it includes fire or anything dangerous like knives)
13. Take a really plain notebook and give it a brand new gift wrapping paper cover and decorate it further - personalizing it with ribbons or stickers of your choice (stole this one from my sister).
14. Phone a good friend you haven't spoken to in a while (of course this would work only if they are free too)
15. Pick up a plain clear plastic phone case and paint it in a pattern of your choice using colorful nail polish (or actual paint). The cool part is that with a bit of nail polish remover you should be able to change the design as and when you feel like it.
16. Play board games with your friends. Or like download the app and play it on your phone together ( however beware that this could get addicting after a while. )
17. Spend time doing nothing. Think about the meaning of life and what all of this really means for a little while.
18. Take a nap.
19. Give yourself a facial. (ton of natural face pack recipes out there that work like a charm - or use a trusted store bought one).
20. Give yourself a spa day at home.
21. Take a long bath.
22. Give yourself a pedicure/ a manicure. ( do it with a friend and share yourself with them in the process)
23.  Watch a really good movie.
24.  Get real with yourself. Ask yourself if you're fine. Get to know you better. Find out who you are or want to be a little bit more than before. Free time is gold to do this
25. Write a list of all the things your grateful for.
